Integrating Facebook as a Web 2.0 Tool in a Responsive Pedagogy for Multimodal Oral Presentation Skills

Technology both complicates and liberates oral presentation pedagogy in higher education. On one hand, 21st century communication realities require students to deliver multimodal presentations but educators have only begun experiment with the relevant pedagogy. other Web 2.0 offers vast pedagogical potential which practitioners just explore. Confronted by a predicament intrigued affordances of 2.0, we designed Responsive Multimodal Oral Presentation Pedagogy (RMO2P) enhance learning skills among EAP (English for Academic Purposes) students. RMO2P integrated Facebook as tool videos, collaborative feedback. A teacher-researcher implemented public speaking class 20 semester. Thematic analysis multiple sources data included student artifacts, observational inquiry contributed findings. The findings indicated that was feasible can be effectively techniques. As result, participants demonstrated enhanced conceptual knowledge heightened self-awareness presenters presentations. Since responsive method overcome situational constraints including inadequate management systems (LMS), stakeholders who are seeking alternative methods teaching may adapt intervention outcomes.
